Our Story

Named for Rosie

We adopted Rosie in March 2020. She came to us as “Pasadena” which is the City of Roses and home of the Rose Bowl. So the name Rosie was a natural fit. She's the sweetest dog in the world. If there's a blanket anywhere nearby she's under it and waiting for a cuddle.

Rosie has a lot of lumps. Most are harmless but we recently had one removed and it made me realize how little we really knew about the rest. Which ones were new? Were any of them growing? All we had was a paper mass map from our vet and honestly even she wasn't a fan of it.

I love building things and organizing information because that usually makes life a little easier. That's even more important when it's for my family. So I built ROSE: one place to map every lump, track how it changes over time and bring Rosie's full health picture to her vet or anyone else who needs it.

What is ROSE?

ROSE is a dog health app that keeps your dog's records in one place. You can map and measure lumps on a 3D model of your dog, track weight, keep every vet visit and document organized, and share it all with the people who help care for your dog.

How do I track a lump on my dog?

Tap Add a Mass and tap the spot on the 3D model where you found it. Log its length, width and height with a soft tape or calipers. Add a photo and note how it feels. Each time you check it ROSE compares the new size to the old one and shows you if it's growing.

Does ROSE replace my vet?

No. ROSE organizes information so you can walk into the vet with a clear history. It doesn't diagnose anything or give veterinary advice. Call your vet if a lump is new, growing quickly, firm, fixed in place or bleeding.

Can my family, sitter or dog walker see my dog's info?

Yes. Invite anyone by email and choose what they can do: Caretaker (view and edit), Vet (view and comment) or View Only. You can also make a share link that expires after 7, 30 or 90 days.

Where is my data stored?

Your account, your dog's records and your uploaded files are stored on servers in Canada. ROSE has no ads, ad trackers or third-party analytics and we never sell your information.

Is ROSE on iPhone and Android?

The iPhone and Android apps are on their way to the App Store and Google Play. You can use ROSE on the web today at roseapp.ca and everything will be waiting for you when the app arrives.

Can I track more than one dog?

Yes. Add as many dogs as you have and switch between them from the top of the app.

Can I get my data out or delete my account?

Anytime. Download a zip of everything from Settings, including your original photos and documents. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and every dog you own.
